Me ha hecho mucha ilusión que Cris i Carme fuéseis tan rápidas en hacerme colgar el cartel de "vendido" en los llaveros de El Mostrador! Y muchas gracias a Sílvia de Lleida por confiar en mi al inicio de su proyecto. Sílvia abre tienda en Lleida, con el sugerente nombre de "1900". La inauguración es este sábado 24 a las 18'00. Si sóis de la zona tenéis que pasaros! "1900" promete, y cuenta con marcas como Sietedelonce, azpleta & martínez ... y, a punto de llegar, Caterina Pérez! Todo esto y mucho más os espera en la calle magdalena, 10 de Lleida. Felicidades Sílvia!

I want to thank you for all your orders. Thank you, thank you, thank you... I've been really happy that thanks to Cris and Carme I've been able to hang the sign "sold" in all the key rings in El mostrador so quickly! And thank you Sílvia for trusting me in the start of her new project. Sílvia is about to open a store in Lleida, with the suggestive name of "1900". The opening is this Saturday April 24th at 6 pm. If you live around you have to stop by! The store "1900" looks promising, with brand names like sietedelonce, azpleta & martínez... and, about to come, Caterina Pérez! Blanco. La pared de madera oscura me encanta... parece un despacho de los años 50! Los marcos de la ventana los tengo que pintar... los dejo en negro, no?

White. I love the dark wood wall ... it seems a 50's settling! I have to paint the window frame... shall I leave it black?

Soy incapaz de deshacerme de ningún recorte. Voy llenando cajas de ellos. Los clasifico por tamaños. Los clasifico por colores. En el caso que la tela no me guste demasiado, la utilizo para hacer las pruebas de mis futuras piezas. Pero cuando los recortes me gustan, hago vestidos para las muñecas de Rita, banderolas, lazos para regalos, aplicaciones diversas, decoro los emboltorios de mis pedidos.... todo lo que se me ocurra para no tirar ni un pedacito!! Y con esta obsesión he llegado a una nueva fórmula para darle otra oportunidad a mis mini-retalitos más preciados.

Los de la foto ya están en Mary Poppin's y en Fet amb love. Pero he guardado tres modelos para El Mostrador!

¿Qué hacéis vosotros con vuestros restos de tela? ¿Sois un poco más desprendidos que yo? ¿O también llenáis cajones de ellos por si acaso se os ocurre la "craftidea" del siglo?

I am unable to get rid of any tiny scrap of fabric. I keep on filling boxes with them. I classify them by size. I classify them by colour. When the fabric is not my favourite, I use it to try new pieces, but when I like the scraps, I make dresses for Rita's dolls, garlands, bows to wrap presents, various appliances, I decorate the wrapping of my orders... everything in my mind not to waste a single piece!! And following thins obsession, I've come up with a new way to give another chance to my most loved tiny scraps.

The ones in the picture are already in Mary Poppin's and in Fet amb love, but I've kept three items for El Mostrador!

What do you do with your fabric left-overs? Are you a bit more detached than I am? Or you also fill your drawers with them just in case you come up with the "craftidea" of the century?

Aquí está! Es éste! ...mi nuevo espacio... mi taller... mi estudio... mi laboratorio... mi rincón.

Dejo Gràcia y me traslado a Sant Andreu. Cierto, dejo el encanto de un barrio tan céntrico y entrañable y me voy a "la periferia"... pero es que salgo ganando: la compañía es estupenda, el espacio es más grande, y tiene luz natural. Mucha luz! Un montón de luz! Y estoy entusiasmada con la idea de no tener que llevarme mis piezas a casa para poderlas fotografiar dignamente... así que preparaos, porqué tengo potencial suficiente para daros la brasa con las "atalier-pictures":)

Me encantará iros enseñando los pasos que voy siguiendo al instalarme! Estas fotos las tomé el primer día, cuando la cosa ya era definitiva. Cuando empiezas a imaginar tus cosas en ese espacio, tu día día, las paredes blancas y el suelo pulido...

Here it is!!! This is it!!!... my new space... my studio... my office... my lab... my corner.

I leave Gràcia and I move to Sant Andreu. It's true, I leave the charm of a lovely and centric neighbourhood and I move to the outskirts.. but I win: the company is great, the space is bigger, and it's got natural sunlight! Lots of sunlight! Tons of sunlight! And I'm really pleased with the idea of not having to take my pieces home to take their pictures... so be ready to receive plenty of "atelier-pictures" because it's got lots of potential :)

I really feel like showing you step by step how I move into my new space! These are the pictures I took the first day, when the thing was for real. When you start imagining your things in this space, your daily routine there, the white walls, the polished floor...

Así que en los próximas semanas estaré ocupada empaquetando trastos, entre cajas, reorganizando, limpiando... ¡Allá voy!

Feliz vuelta al día a día!

Después de diez días de intensas vacaciones en familia... echaba de menos un poco de calma a mi alrededor, un poco de silencio durante un instante. Pero, shhhhhh... no se lo digáis a mis chicos ;)

Welcome to the daily routine again!! After ten days of intense family holidays... I was missing a bit of quietness around me, a bit of silence for a moment, but, shhhhhhh... don't tell my kids ;)

Todavía no lo he subido a El Mostrador... pero es que me muero de ganas de enseñaros algo de esto.
